# Dashboard

Source: https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/dashboard/

## What the dashboard shows

The dashboard is the first screen you see. It answers one question without opening a menu: what are you watching next?

It shows three things, from top to bottom:

- a row of figures about the games you starred,
- the games being played right now,
- the games on your watchlist, in the order they kick off.

The small red line above the title is today's date. The screen changes with the season you picked in the header: a current season counts down to the next game, a planning season helps you mark games early, and an archive season looks back. See [Seasons](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/basics/#seasons) for the three kinds.

In the picture, **1** is the row of figures, **2** the live strip and **3** the list **Next on your list**.

## The figures

The figures give you your season at a glance. All of them are counted from the games you starred for the selected season.

### Current season

| Figure | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Until next kickoff** | Time until your next starred game that has not started yet. Shown as days plus hours:minutes (for example "2d 04:12"), or hours:minutes:seconds when it is less than a day away. It ticks every second. "—" means nothing is coming up or the next game has no kickoff time yet. |
| **Games marked** | How many games you starred in this season. |
| **Live right now** | How many games are being played at this moment, in both leagues, whether you starred them or not. |
| **Viewing time** | Your starred games × 3.5 hours, rounded. A broadcast takes about three and a half hours. |
| **Late-night kickoffs** | How many of your starred games kick off between 00:00 and 05:59 Berlin time. A game whose kickoff time is still TBD is not counted. |

### Planning season

| Figure | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **First marked game** | The date of your earliest starred game. |
| **Already marked** | How many games you starred for that season. |
| **Kickoff times set** | Starred games whose kickoff time is known. Together with **Kickoff times TBD** it shows how much of your plan is already fixed. |
| **Kickoff times TBD** | Starred games whose date is known but whose kickoff time is not. |

*[Image: The dashboard of a planning season with the first marked game and the games marked so far.]*

### Archive season

| Figure | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Games watched** | Finished games of that season that you marked as watched. |
| **Viewing time** | Your starred games × 3.5 hours, rounded. |
| **Late-night kickoffs** | Starred games that kicked off between 00:00 and 05:59 Berlin time. |
| **Average margin** | The average points difference of your finished starred games, rounded. Only results you can see count: a hidden result is left out, and if all are hidden the figure shows "—". |

*[Image: The dashboard of an archive season with its figures and the games you watched, with their results.]*

**Games watched** counts only the finished games you ticked with **Mark as watched** (see [Watched games](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/watchlist/#watched)). A starred game you never ticked off is not counted, even though it was played.

## Live games

The live strip shows at a glance which games are being played right now, so you do not need to open the Live screen.

It appears only in the current season, and only while at least one game is live. It lists every live game of both leagues, not only your starred ones.

Each row shows:

- the two teams as "away at home",
- a small ball after the team that has the ball,
- the score, away team first,
- the quarter and game clock, for example "Q2 9:17",
- below, who has the ball and the situation, for example "Rams ball · 1st & 1 at NYJ 14".

If a score is hidden, you see "•••" instead. Tap it to show the score. See [Hidden scores](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/spoilers/#reveal).

Tap a row to open the game. The strip refreshes every 20 seconds. For larger cards, use the [Live](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/live/#live-games) screen.

## Next on your list

This list shows the games you starred, in kickoff order, so you can plan your evenings. It shows up to eight games.

Each row shows the two teams, the kickoff in Berlin time and Eastern time, the US TV network (for example CBS), and "Late night" for a kickoff between 00:00 and 05:59 Berlin time (never for a game whose kickoff time is still TBD). See [Kickoff times](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/streaming/#times).

On the right you see:

- the time left until kickoff,
- **Time TBD** when the kickoff time is not known yet,
- **Under way** when kickoff has passed.

The list changes with the season:

- **Next on your list** (current season): games that have not started yet. If none are left, it shows your starred games of the season.
- **Marked for** and the year (planning season): the games you marked so far.
- **What you watched** (archive season): your starred games with their result. A hidden result shows "•••".

Tap a row to open the game. If you have not starred anything yet, you see **Nothing marked yet**. Open the schedule and tap the star on a game (see [Starring games](https://docs.gdc-world.net/season-planner/watchlist/#star)).
